JOHN BARRYMORE voice-over, The Fable of Actuality —
[ Greenscreen – wearing a virtual reality headset ]
At the end of August 2001, KiNo left London for New York with a suitcase and a guitar — the birth of IMPORTED VISIONS FROM THE PAST, a chain of interdimensional, autobiographical concept albums.
In an age of transient clicks and microscopic experiences, making a deliberate, expansive series of albums is madness — like trying to build a pyramid alone. But once constructed, it’s visible from space, the white noise dispels and The PHOTON SEA reigns.
Only the poetic account of life.. in art, creation and destruction, amalgamation and dissipation can produce a civilisational vision of reality that is truly revolutionary, for it aims to shatter the version of reality that exists only as an image.

In winter 2015, after his annual outing away from the States for fresh air, KiNo returned to the city and found himself at the pivot of a new social formation.
This period of fun and games emerged through new friendships that forged a true New York fusion of different worlds. Even though KiNo was creating his masterpieces in abject poverty — staying here and there, often sleeping in a club — he was rich and gallant, leading the western axis of artful resistance, performing The Revolutionary Poet in real life, to no one’s avail, of course.
