NEW VAGUE CITY
In 2003, as post-9/11 New York City began to resemble a pale copy of itself, augmented by the dot com delirium, I named her New Vague City. A cipher mirroring Godard’s dystopian Alphaville, a metropolis ruled by machine logic, stripped of soul. The counterculture was so small, I began carving the myth of KiNo into the city’s fading core.
